Yehudi Menuhin (New York City, April 22, 1916 - Berlin, 12 March 1999) was an American violinist.
A native of the United States, spent most of his career as a violinist and conductor in Britain.
Born to Jewish parents in the U.S. (the name means Yehudi 'jew' in Hebrew), the eldest of three children all of whom later became famous musicians (in addition to his sisters Hephzibah and Yaltah both pianists), Menuhin began at the age of three years to study the violin under the guidance of Sigmund Anker. A child prodigy, made his first concert at age seven, accompanied by the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. Menuhin later studied under the Romanian composer and violinist George Enescu. Elman, Enescu, Kreisler, Heifetz and Milstein, these are just some of the great violinists who appear in the DVD offered by IBS to 28.66 euros. The fan also evolved as a beginner, will find this disc a great and comprehensive overview along the personality of the great violinists of 900. The story is by some great contemporary violinists, among them being the great Itzhak Perlman, whose sympathy and extraordinary competence takes us through violismo the fascinating history of the '900. The stories recounted are numerous, particularly with regard to extraordinary talents never come to light or prematurely fallen into decline. Considering the large number of videos and recordings of the era, the quality of the DVD in question is excellent. We can see the young Menuhin struggling with the Mendelssohn Concerto, to the most recent pictures shortly before his death, contained in a soundscape at times moving, but at the same time conveys strength and vitality.

Her autobiography, Woman with Violin, was published in 1970.

Born in Latvia to parents of German origin, Jews, began studying violin with his father and grandfather (both professional violinists) to 4 years and then continued at the Conservatory in Riga, then to study with David Oistrakh at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory Moscow. In 1967 he won third prize at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition of Belgium in Brussels, in 1969 the first prize at the Paganini Competition in Genoa and in 1970 the first prize in the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow.
Kremer's first concert in the West takes place in 1975, in Germany, followed by participation at the Salzburg Festival in 1976 and a tour in New York in 1977. In 1981, Kremer creates a festival of chamber music in Lockenhaus, Austria, based on a non-conventional programming of works, from 1992, the festival is known as Kremerata Musica. In 1996, Kremer founded the Kremerata Baltica chamber orchestra, composed of young musicians from Baltic countries. He serves as artistic director of the festival Art Projekt 92 of Monaco and the summer festival in Gstaad (Switzerland).

This phrase in my opinion sums up the philosophy of Kato Havas: play must be an act of joy of the performer, a "free state itself" communicating the idea of \u200b\u200bmusic.
In "The new approach to the violin," the Havas proposes a series of exercises and reflections to eliminate all the tensions that inevitably come into play when you decide to take up a violin.

Brief Biography
Kato Havas was born in Hungary and was a child prodigy on the violin. He received the traditional teaching virtuoso at the Hungarian Academy of Music in Budapest, he gave concerts at the age of seven and eighteen debuted in America at Carnegie Hall. Shortly after she married, had children and retired from the concert world. During this period he was able to think about the problems with the play, recalling the Hungarian gypsy violin players who had met as a child.
Kato Havas was a child prodigy on the violin, professional violin and solo success. He knew all aspects of the play, she suffered from stage fright and pain, as told in this video.
